Things to do in Leicester
Leicester is a city and a municipality in the middle of England. The city lies on the river 'River Soar' and the name of the city derives from old English words for rivers. Traces have been found that the area was inhabited during the Iron Age. One of the oldest buildings is the Leicester Guildhall from the 14th century. In the city you will also find the ruins of the Leicester Abbey, St. Nicholas's church and the Jewry Wall. In addition to the antiquities, Leicester also has many modern attractions such as the Curve Theater, New Walk Museum & Art Gallery and the National Space Center.
